So for MANY of you the Holiday Season is gearing up in full swing. (If you are not in the Holiday Season, no worries neither am I. I am very Jewish and my Holiday Season comes in the fall.) Chanukah is a minor holiday, and made bigger to make kids feel like they have something to compare to Christmas :P)
But as an American, I have also been inundated with sweets, my clients make me home made peanut brittle and cookies. I used to have a desk at the dialysis office next to the snack table. I totally get it. Then at the parties everyone is drinking. Pouring that spiked cider or eggnog! It’s an excuse to overindulge.
I personally can hardly stop, once I dip into the homemade chocolate, I’m dipping more than anyone. Overindulgence is my old way of being. So I have been working on a new hypnotic weight reduction plan. This worked so so well, um er, until I started getting invited to all these parties.
I should NOT COMPLAIN. I have three parties to attend this week. Jewish people I know, do the homemade organic potato latkes, (pancakes,) and home made organic chocolate truffles. ENOUGH ALREADY! I cannot believe I am whining about parties…
So I am currently challenged, or shall we say triggered. So this is a great test of my new, slimming down protocol.
You might NOT have the party invites, so please excuse me. You might be feeling a little lost, sad or lonely, it is normal for this time of year! Do not beat yourself up! If you are in the Northern Hemisphere we are experiencing the shortest days of the year. Students have finals. Families have guests over, that have been problematic in the past. The HOLIDAYS are wrought with complications for MOST PEOPLE. It is NORMAL to have issues. Many of you might be missing a love one who is no longer with us!
So I hope my video is seen as a visit from a friend. That is why I do it for free! To grace your home with my good cheer! And believe me it’s cold and windy outside. If you see any green grass in the background in California, that means it is winter. Here in drought country that means we are getting blessed rains. (And more blessed rains, and more blessed rains, just look at our flood maps!)
